“How can i do things to help people worse off than me without compromising the convenience afforded to me by their oppression?”

As mean as this question sounds it would actually be awesome if more people asked it.  Instead I keep coming across people who want to either ignore or condemn the first part about helping people and justify their personal role in oppression by boasting about the convenience it affords them.
